Do you know what a drain sock is and how it stops plastic from going into the environment?
The Australian city of Kwinana has made a simple but effective solution to make the world a bit cleaner. What a great solution for cities that already have drainage systems set in place.
But the real question here is, if we can we get inspired by this example and come up with 3rd world solution in places without drainage systems? The majority of the plastic that is getting into the oceans in coming from a handful of rivers that flow trough 3rd world countries, where the priority of the people are to survive the day, not to clean up in from of his house/shad (if they even have one).
